The project “OGEMA 2.0†is based on the current OGEMA development as well as further previous developments of Fraunhofer IWES, Fraunhofer IIS and Fraunhofer ISE, comprising experiences from four major smart grid projects in the E-Energy framework in Germany.
The project started in December 2011 and will last four years. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Savety with a budget of 5 Mio. Euro.
The illustration below shows selected interfaces which the project plans to include. These interfaces must be able to connect to the network control systems, building automation, as well as smart meters and the energy market in general.

Industrial Working Group
To accompany the project „OGEMA 2.0“ an Industrial Working Group will be founded to include the industry’s practical experiences and to formulate individual requirements for the energy management gateway.
